Stake Conference

Well, this weekend was Stake Conference. We were privilaged to have Presidet Eyring come and speak to us. Saturday night was the adult session and the Stake Center was packed. Pres. Eyring spoke on temple attendance. It was very good. Today it was sort of like a zoo at the Stake Center. John went an hour early to get seats and we were on the second to back row of the gym. They had overflow rooms all over the stake center. People were sitting on the floor and in the halls. There were so many people there. Pres. Erying spoke about the trials that come in our lives, and just because we are doing what the Lord asks, doesn't mean that we will have trials. And just because we turn our backs on God doesn't mean that everything is going to go bad for us. But, we need to let our trials bring us closer to God and not turn our backs on him. He gave a good talk. It was neat for my children to get to see him, (sort of, we were so far back).

But boy were my kids naughty!!!! They were just horrible for Stake Conference today. They were all so tired this morning and they just had a rough time. I thought by the time we left I was going to leave my children at the church!!!! But I guess it is good to go and teach them that going to church is good.
