Labor Day Weekend

So this weekend we went up to visit my Mom in Star Valley. We left Friday night. We got up there around dinner. Then when we were getting ready to go to bed my sister saw the cops chasing someone out her window. We looked and thought how strange for Star Valley. Then we went to bed. Just after I laid down I herd a car shoot past my moms house going I bet around 150 miles an hour. Then there were a lot of police cars and fire engies and ambulances. (Crazy. . . this is SV where the police never have anything like this.) The next day we drove up the canyon and saw where the car stopped and caught on fire. He was heading to the Idaho border to out run the police. Didn't make it. He was about a mile short. I still haven't heard what the police were chasing him for. The chase lasted about 2 hours that I heard and saw. Crazy.

The next day we went over to Greys Lake to the Rodeo. We used to go all the time when I was growing up. We had a dutch oven dinner and then the rodeo. We didn't get to stay too long at the rodeo because Wyatt was being really naughty. But boy, what we did see was crazy as well. The stock was really good this year. One of the guys riding the bucking horse got his hand stuck under the saddle and then his was drug through the arena for about five minutes. The pick up men didn't do a very good job of getting the horse to quit bucking and saving the man. Luckily he walked away. Then we had to leave.

No more excitement after that. Just a peaceful time at my moms.
