Last Day of Fun Before School

So we decided to have one last day of fun before school starts on Monday. So we went downtown and saw the sights. The Declaration of Independance was on display at the Capitol building so we went there and saw it. Pretty cool. The building is neat. Joshua said that was the coolest building he's ever been too. We also saw the monument for the Mormon Batalion. I had an ancestor who we found on the wall. William Smith Muir was there. There is a picture on the left of his name. Then we went to a park up on 11th Avenue where John and I used to hang out when single and we had a picnic lunch. Afterwards, we went to the City Library. The kids loved exploring through the library. We walked on the wall outside and saw the marvelous childrens room. To bad we can't check books out there and return them to our library. Abigail was very leary of getting on the all glass elevator. She would hang on our legs and wouldn't move. It was a pretty fun day.
